Matt Hoptowit
Founder Owner | Network Engineer | Wapato, WA
Born and raised in the Yakima Valley, Matt Hoptowit started MTEK IT LLC to serve local and remote family owned and native owned businesses. He earned his IT degree from Yakima Valley College and holds many industry certifications.
Matt is an enrolled member of the Yakama Nation and an IT professional with over 11 years of experience holding various roles including IT Director, Network Operations Manager, and Network Administrator. He has six years of IT management experience and has spent multiple years training and developing the skills of IT employees.
Matt designed and managed a hybrid fiber/wireless broadband network consisting of over 30 towers and 3000+ network devices offering high-speed wireless internet to thousands of subscribers on and around the Yakama Nation reservation. His duties included managing all business operations, budgets, and staff which included strategic planning for IT operations, tower infrastructure and expansion, customer service, sales and marketing.
